Our Mission

The Interfaith Homeless Outreach Council (IHOC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to transforming lives and building a stronger, more compassionate South Jersey. For many years, IHOC fostered a robust network of congregational partners, uniting communities of various faiths with individuals experiencing homelessness. This collaboration laid the foundation for a model rooted in dignity, accountability, and personal transformation.

Today, IHOC carries that legacy forward with renewed focus and independence. At the core of our mission is a belief in mutual commitment between our staff, our volunteers, and the individuals we serve. Through relationships built on trust and shared responsibility, we empower those experiencing homelessness to take active steps toward stability and self-sufficiency.

Our volunteers offer their time, expertise, and humanity to support this journey. Our case manager provides tailored guidance and critical resources. And the men in our transitional housing programs make meaningful commitments to bettering their lives, demonstrating the strength and resilience that drive lasting change.

IHOC remains a community-driven organization, one built to adapt and evolve. As we continue this vital work, we remain committed to both immediate impact and long-term solutions, helping people not just survive, but flourish.
